How it works
Days-until pages pick the next occurrence of an event and count down to your local midnight of that day. If Christmas 2026 has already passed, the counter automatically rolls to Christmas 2027 the second the browser tick moves past midnight on the 25th. All timing is client-side and in your timezone, so a viewer in Sydney sees a slightly different 'days remaining' than a viewer in Los Angeles when the two are on opposite sides of the international date line — which is what you'd expect. Every holiday also gets its own dedicated page (for example /days-until/christmas) with context and share buttons.

New Year, Christmas, Halloween, Valentine's Day, India's Republic and Independence Day, US Independence Day, Diwali 2026 and 2027, Holi 2027, Thanksgiving 2026 and May Day. More are added regularly.
Do lunar holidays like Diwali auto-update?open
For 2026 and 2027 we've hardcoded the correct lunar-calendar dates. Future years will be added; check back or use a custom date in the meantime.
