How it works
The countdown creator turns any date-plus-time into a live URL that anyone can open. When you set an event name and target date, the page rewrites its own URL to include those values as query parameters — so copying the URL copies the countdown. Everything happens in your browser. There is no database, no login and nothing is stored on our servers. The 'My countdowns' list is a small entry in your browser's local storage; it stays on this device and is never synced. The timer targets your local midnight (or the exact time you choose) so a wedding countdown in Delhi and a New Year countdown in London both point to the right wall-clock moment, not to a distant UTC instant.
How to use

- 02Pick the target date from the calendar sheet.
- 03Choose a time from the presets, or tap the time input for a custom minute.
- 04Copy the URL, or tap 'Share on WhatsApp' to send it.
- 05Optionally 'Save to my countdowns' to see it again on this device.

How is the shareable link generated?open
The link contains your event name, date and time in the URL itself. Anyone who opens it sees the same countdown — no accounts, no backend. Long URLs, but nothing is stored.
Will my saved countdowns sync between devices?open
No. 'My countdowns' is stored in your browser's local storage on this device only. Bookmark the share URL if you want to keep a countdown across devices.
What happens after the countdown reaches zero?open
It flips to 'already happened' and shows the time since. The counters keep ticking.
Can I embed this on my site?open
